Our Thanksgiving Day

(Thursday Nov. 28, 2013)

It's a beautiful day for us to all come together and give thanks for having each other,  so much happiness, and blessings that enrich our lives. Thanks to our Creator and dear Savior Jesus Christ. It's overwhelming when we think of what he went through so that his teachings would live forever as a light to show us the way to better our lives and inspire others.

We're waiting for everyone to get in here to give our prayerful thanks for everything and the wonderful dinner we're about to enjoy. As always, each of us brings something special for dinner.

...And finally, here we are out on the beautiful deck just in time before darkness catches up, and having to grab our coats. Left to right, Cheryl, Margie & Elodie, Darlene, Ken, Grammy Bonnie and Papa Mel.

Papa Mel, Sue, Brent, Guy, Tim, Vicky & Elodie, Cheryl and Margie.

From left is Drew, friend, Megan, Deena, Amanda, Katie, Jen, Deanna, Kirk and Mason.

Elodie thinks all these goodies are great...

As always it's been a joyous occasion getting together to share this special day. Thank you all for your goodness. You're wonderful.

More Than A Day

As Thanksgiving Day rolls around,
It brings up some facts, quite profound.
We may think that we're poor,
Feel like bums, insecure,
But in truth, our riches astound.

We have friends and family we love;
We have guidance from heaven above.
We have so much more
Than they sell in a store,
We're wealthy, when push comes to shove.

So add up your blessings, I say;
Make Thanksgiving last more than a day.
Enjoy what you've got;
Realize it's a lot,
And you'll make all your cares go away.
